November tattoos

November has been a busy month for me and Proyecto Eclipse. Florence, Dortmund, Granada and my home Barcelona had been great. These are some of my favourite tattoos done during this month. Both the kraken and the Vulture are half way healing and I will have better and more detailed pictures in the future. Once again, I want to give thanks to all my clients featured here. I’m specially happy to have tattooed Sebastian from Farbaffaere Dortmund once again, my experience there has been amazing. And Florian, thank you very much for picking up the skull spider from my sketchbook… this kind of tattoos keeps me going on! Fran Fernandez, from Ondo Tattoo Barcelona, has come again to get this pair of eyes on his shoulders…always great to have him in the studio for the endless chat!
Finally Roger and Corpus, the Kraken and the vulture, have been two of my bests clients ever. I’m extremely grateful for their trust, ideas and kindness. Thank you very much, for real.

En Diciembre estaré de nuevo mano a mano con El Carlo, en el estudio. Aún quedan huecos en la agenda para acabar de rellenar el mes entero de trabajo.Por otra parte, intentaré que enero de 2017 sea un mes diferente para mí y por eso me reservaré mucho más tiempo para dibujar y pintar. Todos los diseños de estas fotos que no tienen un punto rojo estan disponibles para ser tatuados en Barcelona o en cualquiera de los viajes que voy realizando por otros estudios y convenciones. A menudo me preguntáis por mail o en persona si solo acepto ideas ya prediseñadas, si podéis traer vuestras referencias o si solo tatúo mis diseños. ¡La respuesta es que SÍ a todo! Me importa que el tattoo resultante tenga calidad y que no sea un plagio directo de otros artistas. Para llegar a ese fin hay muchos caminos y siempre estoy abierto a nuevas ideas y también a proponer las mías, como es el caso de este post.

New Tattoos and travel dates

This past month has been really intense for me due to the Eclipse expo and the amount of tattoos I’ve been doing. Most of them are large pieces that are still in process but those small ones are ready to show:

Thanks Fran, Anneke and Rafa for your trust and your cool ideas! One of the large tattoos I’ve ended it’s this black weasel for Manu. As you’ll see, it’s not completely healed so better pictures will be posted in the future. It’s been so fun to do this one…

Eclipse I

Eclipse I is my contribution to the joint pack we made in Proyecto Eclipse for our first exhibition last week. It was reproduced in a ten copies limited edition giclée series alongside the artwork of El Carlo and Rotor. This is the scan extracted directly from the original artwork. I’ve used a nib with ink wich is lately my best preference to work this kind of engraved pieces. The quality and opacity of black talens has no equal. Paper is the always high performance Saunders Waterford.

Estas son algunas de las escasas fotos de la expo de la semana pasada hechas por mí mismo, que se salvan de la criba. ¡Se aceptan solicitudes de fotógrafos para nuestros próximos eventos! Voy a recalcar lo que ya hemos dicho en nuestras respectivas redes sociales : la noche fue un éxito de asistencia y todo salió redondo. Desde Proyecto Eclipse os queremos dar las gracias a todos los que vinisteis y nos apoyasteis en nuestra primera muestra al público. Nos hemos quedado con ganas de más y para el 2017 sería brutal repetir la experencia en una expo con más contenido aún. También nos sentimos halagados por la cantidad de pins, parches, camisetas y packs que se vendieron. A los que no pudisteis asistir pero os hubiera gustado, tenemos todo nuestro material disponible en nuestra tienda online a excepción de la mayoría de obra original. En dos semanas anunciaremos que piezas siguen en venta.

Para los asistentes al evento, todo nuestro trabajo fue posible exponerlo gracias a Xavi Forné y Marta. Error! The Gallery, ya forma parte del camino recién iniciado de Proyecto Eclipse. La contribución de Your Grace y su música puso tono el ideal a la noche y nos sorprendieron a todos con su formato en acústico. No dudéis en seguir su trabajo. Nuria Lopez y Anna Revuelto nos ayudaron con su trabajo de diseño gráfico y serigrafia con una paciencia infinita. Les estamos agradecidos más que a nadie por todo su esfuerzo e inversión de horas extra en nuestro Proyecto. ¡Sois las mejores! Para finalizar, damos las gracias también a todos nuestros colaboradores habituales en lo que se refiere a producción por tener todo el material listo para el día de la expo: Newtownlab, Impressionart, Flaix Ofset, BCN Copy y Art Plus.

Time Machine I

One of my recent pieces for the Eclipse Expo this last thursday. I’ve put some hours into this new illustration and it’s been worthy for all the knowledge I’ve acquired from it. Hopefully, this will turn into a larger production of smaller time machines… This is also my little tribute to one of my favourite pieces of Durer’s work : The Large Triumphal Carriage. As I said, it is just the beggining and I’ll try to develop this idea in many other ways. Being sincere, it just started as a game for me and ended up in a larger project. We’ve been in touch recently with Martí Andiñach and his old craftwork photography. As an art collective it’s very motivating for us to meet other people who’s interests and passion for their work goes that far. In this case, keeping alive this old photo technique is something we can nearly call magic. We encourage everyone in Barcelona and elsewhere to meet him and get a portrait full of energy, class and mistery. If you want to know more about this old technique, just visit his website and enjoy. And finally, the day has come. Today thursday october 20th we are opening our exhibition at The Gallery by Error as Proyecto Eclipse. Everyone is welcome. Show starts at 19:00 and we will have the privilege of listening to Your Grace live. Check them out, they are amazing. We will bring a good selection of original artwork and merch so anyone can come and get something.

New patch and pin for Proyecto Eclipse

The new patch and pin for Proyecto Eclipse are finally at home and ready to be presented at our upcoming exhibition. It’s been a very interesting process and I’ve learned a lot by designing them. As always, failure is the best teacher! Carlo and Rotor helped me a lot with their experience in this kind of merch items and their ideas for a full effective design. Real team work in the end!
For our international friends and clients, they’ll be available on friday 21st October through our online store. Price is 5€ for each one of them. Details of size and production are fully explained on the website. Make sure you add them to extended purchases in order to save some money in the shipping costs. As usual, we ship worldwide.
Make sure you get one of them before they are gone! Production is limited to 100 copies both for the patch and the pin. Thank you very much for supporting us by following Proyecto Eclipse, it means a lot.

Florence Tattoo Convention 2016
