Mind at large 7-10 may

mind at large black
Once again, I will travel to Dortmund to tattoo for some days. I’m really expectant to see the transformation of the old Farbaffaere studio into it’s new atmosphere and team : Mind at Large. I’ve spent so many hours there in the past, sorrounded by good vibes and a unique relaxing enviroment, ideal for tattooing. Now that I see this picture…it’s going to be even better for sure!
As usual, I will accept ideas for custom tattoos as well as the prepared designs that I always carry with me when travelling. So please, get in touch with the studio as soon as you can to book your appointment. It will be a pleasure to develop my ideas with absolute freedom as it’s been happening there in all my visits. I want to give thanks once again to my clients and friends there cause I really appreciate how many good tattoos I’ve done at the old Farbaffaere. So…long live to Mind at Large Tattoo!
Hope to see you all there.

Vielen Danke!

Stone Deaf forever!

sd1

I’ve been included for the second time in the Stone Deaf zine curated by Alex Matus with the help of Brookes Reeder. Considering that I’m holding the second number in my hands, it’s a fucking success. I met Alex some years ago when she came to Barcelona to spend some days tattooing at Aloha Tattoos. I got a druidess tattoo from her (tribute to Type O Negative ha!) and we’ve been in touch since then. Alex tattoos and artwork are one of a kind, as her life too. This little piece of art combines the pictures taken by her at metal gigs with her iphone, with illustrations from a nice list of really talented people.

I contributed with my “saved by the storm” illustration and I’m really happy with the result. This little guy has flight many hours and I’m very proud that one of my best works is a part of this super fun compilation. You can feel this kind of work, by Alex, is done from the heart. Pure metal fan. So thanks again for having me in Alex !!

In this volume n.II :
Colin Baker · Zac Scheibaum · Maarten Donders · Arik Roper · Alex Matus · Raul Cruz ·Jack Sabbat · Edu Cerro · Richey Beckett · Rose Whittaker · Nick Mckillip · Prilzor…
and myself!

From Darkness to Light

from darkness to light
I love patches. Designing and collecting them it’s one of the funniest things I do for sure. Normally I come up with new ideas every time my last stock is over, but this time at Eclipse we decided it was a good move to produce this particular one again. From darkness to light is an old christian motto I came across with when I was diving in an Odd Fellows book… By the time we made the first run, this little piece of cloth made a lot of sense to Carlo, Rotor and me. It’s still powerful even now and that’s why it’s back on the game.
We know many of you lost the chance of getting one or more due to the small production. Now it’s available again through our webstore. It’s rougher than the previous edition, with no plastic backing for ironing…like fucking good patches should be. Not perfect.
So, be fast if you want some of them. Remember that we always include patches for the big orders and specially if you are interested in our original artwork.
Thanks again for supporting us.

Dürer a Barcelona

2019_24gen_expo_durero_w.png

New prints and patches

Saved 1

Hard 1Later than expected but finally, both are here. “Saved by the Storm” and “Hard to explain” are now reproduced as a limited giclée edition. Only 8 copies of each one are available. Both printed on the finest Hahnemühle museum etching paper. Each copy is signed, embossed and numbered by me. I’m really happy with the result of these prints and the work done at impressionart Barcelona. Both editions are now more secure and hard to copy due to the Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity and hologram system

certificateEach copy and it’s certificate of authenticity share a pair of twin holograms. And even the paper has it’s own security system. Please take a look to the previous link to fully understand what I’m trying to explain…It’s been a while since I was trying to improve the level of coolness of our certificates at Eclipse, and I think I’ve found the answer. I hope that if you are into a serious collecting dementia, you’ll appreciate that!

I have also designed a pair of new patches. “Lost Art” patch is based on two of my favourite songs from the Queens of the Stone Age. If you know…you know. “Time” patch is about missing something, missing someone…remember?… canine devotion time can’t erase…Oh shit, the Queens again…
patchesBoth are fully embroidered with merrowed border. No backing for ironing sorry! It’s easier to sew them on your jean or leather clothes this way, trust me. All pictures will drive you to my online store at Eclipse. All the info you need about the prints and patches is there too. So please, don’t doubt to share and visit!

It took long, but it was worthy to end up doing things like I really wanted to. Thank You very much for your support once again, hope You like them.
