Last and next and always

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and things are not easy in Barcelona right now. Tattooers and studios are struggling to get enough work to carry on and keep on offering the best of our production. Nevertheless, here we are! This is my last tattoo of the year at Eclipse and I’m hoping to start 2021 in a better way than 2020 is ending. I want to give thanks to all my clients in this year, I know it hasn’t been easy to come and get tattooed in some cases. I really wish you all the best for whatever it’s to come! As soon as I can, I will start to organize my travel agenda again and post the touring dates here.
I would also like to show you my tattoo proposals through my new section available designs. This a selection of some brand new drawings I would really love to tattoo from january on.

Don’t doubt to get in touch through my email if you are interested in any of them. Thank you very much for keeping an eye on my blog and for all the support received in these past months. It means a lot.
Long live to tattooing and Eclipse, always.

October tattoos

Well!! This month has been really challenging for tattooers around and specially in Barcelona. We’ve been in a lockdown since mid October… Anyway! We’ll keep on doing what we can to go on and follow our ideas and hearts. As usual, FTG & TCB.
This is a selection of many small tattoos I’ve done recently. I want to give special thanks once again to Gisselle for trusting me and letting me finish her forearm, surrounded by pieces from the great Tim Beijsens. Also Alex, Johanna and fucking Max a.k.a fucking Tupamax tattoo…a fine individual! You made my month!

And as a preview of my favourite work from this last month, here’s a shot of the healing process of this huge bird on Carlos.

Due to Covid restrictions and the situation in Barcelona, it will be a little difficult to have better pictures of this one any soon. I just wanted to show it before the year ends! I promise a full photo shooting with extra drawings on the process.
Thanks for following my work and checking this blog regularly. It means a lot! If you want to engage in larger projects or take a look to my available designs, please don’t doubt to write me. Here: david@davidtejero.com

Good luck in November to You all!

Long live to Eclipse.

Demons, monsters, knights and skulls

New designs

Hi there, it’s been a little since my last post. I’m back at work as usual, and after a completely different summer, new and old designs are ready to go. I’m gonna publish a sneak peek of them here before on any other media. So if you keep on following my site, you’ll have a chance to see them first. I would really like to start working on larger pieces again as before the lockdown, so my most recent drawings are ready to be tattooed on A3 size or bigger. Always ready to adapt and redesign in order to better fit your chosen body area. As I like to think, these are drafts for a much more personalized project that will end up on your skin. If any of them pleases you, there’s only one way to see them and it’s live. Write me first to check availability and come to the studio to spend as many time as you wish with the book in your hands. Easy right?

And of course, I’m also willing to tattoo some of my old small or medium sized designs. As I said, don’t hesitate to ask and come to see them live if you have the chance.

Thank you very much for being there through the past months. Write me at david@davidtejero.com if you are interested. I’ll try to publish new designs more often and always in my blog first, they look better than in instagram right?
See you at Eclipse!

The lockdown

First of all, thank you very much once again for stoping by this blog to read my latest news and content. Second, as the COVID-19 situation is now a global threat affecting most of the capital cities and towns in our planet, I really hope that all of You and your families are well. Clients and friends worldwide, my thoughts are with you everyday.

I’m writting this post in order to let you know that I’m fine, at home and taking care of my family. During this confinement days I’ll focus my energies on that. My travel dates are officially on hold until our situation comes back to a regular working basis. At Eclipse, as many other tattoo studios, we don’t know when or how is gonna happen. As soon as we have any info about our working availability, it will be published.

Thanks again for reading this information and for all your messages. I’m not sure to give any advice on how to live through this time of uncertainty or even to engage in any art related activity. My mail will remain open if I can be helpful with any doubt or matter you need to ask me about. My instagram account will be mostly out for a long time.

Take care everyone.

Rooster

So! This is the first 2020 tattoo project. Done in two sittings on Javier who asked for a big rooster and put all the trust in the view I wanted to get for it. In the pictures, lines are healed and shading is fresh. I’m always up for this kind of extended bird tattoos that can go along with the anatomy in a better and more profitable way.

Don’t doubt to get in touch if you have in mind to get a tattoo like that, I always enjoy to work on this projects and I’m looking forward to do more of them in 2020. Arms, legs, frontpieces and backpieces too. It’s time to grow in size!
Thanks again for keeping an eye on my work.

Black swan and the never ending end.

73.19 black swan

My last tattoos from 2019 close a decade where I commited myself to tattooing and everything involved without any doubt or hesitation. For me it’s more than ending just another year, specially because 2020 it’s my 15th anniversary into this profession that I love and respect so much. It seems like it was not too far away in time when I started as an apprentice at Nahkoé Tattoos and Piercing down in L’Hospitalet. I want to make this new year, decade and stage of my life and carreer count. Things must and will change in order to improve my skills and attention to detail.

To achieve that I can only rely on my clients, as I’ve been doing so far. I want to thanks once again, as a new year congratulation, to everyone and single of you who has allowed me to tattoo both my ideas and yours. I expect this new 2020 to contribute with more of my creativity and production. Also, at Eclipse Tattoo Barcelona, some improvements with our merchandise are being prepared now…we hope to offer you a nice experience during this year both online and at the studio.

I also will try to organize my travelling agenda for 2020 as soon as I can. Dates and destinations will be announced soon. In the meantime, don’t doubt to contact me if you want to get tattooed by me in Barcelona or any other city in Europe. I love to have as much time as possible to plan and draw.

The end has no end.

Thanks.

Hearts and executioners, hermits, demiurges, a raven and a Basilisk.

These are some of the tattoos I’ve done in my recent visits to London, Dortmund and Brussels. It’s always a pleasure to travel around and be able to tattoo interesting ideas. Thanks again to all my customers abroad. The pictures below are from one of my favoruite healed pieces this year, on Tobe from Dortmund.

My next stop takes me to Lyon, France. I’ll be tattooing at Hello Darkness Tattoo. I hope I’ll be able to design and tattoo some good stuff too! So please, don’t doubt to write me if you want to get tattooed there. I’ll bring my black book of designs with me as usual.

Thanks again for keeping an eye to my blog.

ADVENT

advent1Advent T-shirt is finally printed. Once again it has been done down at Newtownlab headquarters in Barcelona. When it comes to limited, handmade printed editions for your clothes, they are undoubtfully on the top. The design is based on an old imperial prussian coat of arms. I just added some of my favourite touches. This T-shirt will be for sale for the first time at the Brussels Tattoo Convention 2019. Afterwards it will be available online too. Don’t doubt to take a look to our shop.

I’ll bring with me as many T-shirts as possible to the convention, but also my books, patches and prints. As you may know, I work on a limited edition basis so…once they are gone, they are gone. Don’t be late at the convention if you want any of these things.
Thank you very much again! See you in Brussels.
