Leeds Tattoo Expo 2026

Ok! I know it’s a long shot but I’ve already confirmed my assistance to the next edition of the Leeds Tattoo Expo. Last year was really fun and the experience alongside my spanish and international friends was memorable. So, I intend to at least repeat the same level of work, merch selling and good vibes. Monstruos, sirenas y un cuervo enorme

Antes de empezar el verano toca hacer repaso de los tattoos hechos en estos últimos meses. Por tamaño y esfuerzo, el primero es este gran cuervo para Marcos, que ha estado viniendo desde Madrid directamente para hacerse una sesión tras otra en un tiempo record. Estoy muy contento con el resultado con el que es hasta la fecha el cuervo más elaborado y grande que he tenido la oportunidad de realizar. Ha sido un reto eso sí, entender el mejor encaje posible cuando tienes a la vez tanto espacio para trabajar pero has de colocar lo mejor posible todos esos grupos de plumas.

¡Marcos! Muchísimas gracias de nuevo por el aguante y por tantas horas de buena charla. La verdad es que ha sido fácil de principio a fin. ¡Un placer!

También ha habido espacio para tattoos más pequeños ya fuera en Eclipse Tattoo Barcelona o en la Convención de tatuajes de Leeds. Ya sabéis que trabajo todos los tamaños y me siento cómodo con un rango de ideas muy amplio. Desde sirenas a mis animales del tiempo, como podéis ver aquí abajo.

Y estas piernas tan bonitas que veis aquí son del amigo Enric, que poco a poco va aumentando su colección con piezas de Rotor, Carlo, Irene Valiente y un servidor.

Esta pareja de monstruos de un solo ojo y los animales del tiempo que habéis visto más arriba son sus últimas adquisiciones. Y Enric lo sabe, trabajar conjuntamente con él en la distribución de esas piezas es siempre muy divertido. Ya sea de forma custom o sacando ideas de mi libreta de diseños disponibles.

Y en fin! Empieza el verano. No tengo viajes programados para Julio o Agosto, así que podréis encontrarme en la casa de los raros que es Eclipse. Si te asusta tatuarte en mitad de este magma de aire caliente no te preocupes, tenemos aire acondicionado. Y si tu playa te lo permite, te puedes atrever con tattoos de todos los formatos. Ravens, mermaids and other creatures

So! Welcome 2025! A first batch of new tattoos to start this new year and put my sights in the upcoming travels. All of them have been done at Eclipse Tattoo Barcelona. Monsters, alicornios and Paris

Hi again! It was time to show some of my latest tattoos. So here’s a little selection of my favourite pieces during the summer months. This first one is for Vero, my coworker at Eclipse Tattoo Barcelona. A direct comission by her based on some of my artwork designs featuring eyes, membrane wings and more creepy stuff. it was a pleasure to work on it! The way it wraps around her forearm is also really interesting for this kind of style.

This fine line rooster talon is for Eric Sueiro, one of my personal hero clients. I’m always glad and available to work on these filler tattoos.

These small ones are from Eclipse’s summer flash day, also really funny to make! Specially for the good vibes during that day. All these designs will always be available on my book of drawings. Don’t hesitate to ask for them if you are interested.

Finally, a very special piece for Fernando. This beast is called Alicornio. Extracted directly from the old galician folklore and myth tales. I haven’t been able to find a graphic description of it before, so I guess this tattoo is one of a kind. It is always great for me to work on this old chimerical beasts from dark european sources. Please, don’t doubt to bring your local stories to me if they are about this kind of animals. They are the best sauce to make a very interesting tattoo.

AND…Paris again! There’s no point about pretending this 2024 has been great about travelling as a guest artist. Many trips in my agenda had been cancelled due to a lack of work. But I’m willing to give it a last try on my beloved city of Paris with my friends at Matière Noire. Small, medium and large tattoos are welcome. I have many designs ready to go and I’m also open to your ideas. So please, get in touch asap if you want to get tattooed so I can have time to organize my schedule. December 10, 11, and 12th. Only three intense and cold days!

Time animals and other creatures

Here we are! Another hot summer enduring the low season in Barcelona. But, so far, so good, as we are still here and kicking. This is a good selection of small and medium tattoos I’ve done at Eclipse Tattoo these past months.

Some of them are extracted directly from my book of available designs and the rest are custom projects. I’m always available to engage in both ways of working, so don’t be shy and ask! I’m grateful to receive your ideas aswell as proposing mine. All roads are fine if they lead up to a nice tattoo.

I will spend the rest of the summer at home but in mid September I’ll be visiting my german friends again in Berlin. I still have open spots in my agenda so feel free to get in touch if you are interested in getting tattooed there.

Rooster

After some months of work, Kevin’s backpiece is finally finished. This pictures are from the last sitting so you’ll find some healed areas and some fresh touch ups. By far, one of my most challenging tattoos. Starting and going through a backpiece project is always tricky and hard, specially for the owner! In this case, Kevin has proved that he’s an absolute beast and I’m very grateful for his energy and good vibes. It was also clear, from the beggining, how easy and direct his approach was to this tattoo. A big, powerful rooster in the back. No more, no less, no excuses. Straightforward tattoos such as this one often make the best choices.

Rooster and hawk

Finally! Some pictures of this two healed (with some recent touch ups) major projects I’ve been working on the past months. Raul and Lidia have endured several sittings with commitment and a tremendous sense of humor. For this and for their trust in my work, I’m more than grateful. Tattooing such large and long lasting tattoos is always a challenge and it always feels like climbing the highest of mountains. But, nevertheless, the result pays off and the knowledge extracted from this process is gonna be visible in further pieces.

As I’ve told many times in this blog and beyond, I would like to engage in similar ideas with birds, dragons and combined creatures all in large scale. It’s fun and they look powerful once they are finished. So! If you are willing to try, just send me a text to david@davidtejero.com and we we’ll talk about it. I always prefer to start and develop this tattoos at Eclipse Tattoo Barcelona, but as I travel around Europe as much as I can, it’s also an option to do different sittings between two or more countries.

Wings, skulls and a time animal

Second post of the year, a little bit late as always! This is a compilation of my favourite works done between Eclipse Tattoo Barcelona, Druids Tattoo Cork and Unity Tattoo Granada in february and march. I did a crazy amount of feathers and claws! You know I’m grateful for it, don’t hesitate in asking for more. But, I also had the chance to explore other ideas and return to some old ones. Skull and bones, demons with bat wings, heraldic figures and a crazy free one eyed time animal. I had the best of times tattooing all of them.

And now, a jackpot of wings, helmets and devils. I’ve been back at Unity Tattoo Granada after many years. Three days of intense work and a lot of fun were enough to deliver this three pieces.

So! Not in order but with all my energy, a deep thanks to Ana, Jose, Alberto, Javi, Séan, Jorge, Hector and Pau for your commitment and for choosing me.
Now it’s time to focus in Barcelona a little bit and start planning future tattoo trips. Berlin, Copenhagen, Zurich…coming soon? We’ll see!

Last 2023 tattoos and first tattoo trips of 2024

This post comes a little bit late but those last 2023 tattoos, done in Paris at Matière Noire, are worthy to show. As always, my visits to this city are great and I really hope to be back this year. I also had the chance to finish Alix Nonne legs too with this pair of harpy roosters.

I said it before and I say it again, thank you very much Alix for your trust and commitment to finish your harpy sisters in a record time. You are one of a kind. Please, go and check her work as she is a very promising young tattooer in the dark scene. You’ll not be disappointed.

So, as 2023 was filled with travels and new tattoo studio discoveries around Europe, let’s start 2024 with some new dates. In february I’m visiting Ireland for the first time and I’ll be working alongside some crazy talented spaniards at their new studio in Cork. If you want to get tattooed there, don’t doubt it and text me as soon as possible. In march, I’m back, after many years of absence, to one of my favourite cities around: Granada. One more time, like in the old days, you’ll find me working at Unity Tattoo. Agenda is busy already but I still have time for small or medium tattoos. And last, but not least, I’m opening my agenda in Berlin again. Many of my german clients have been asking when I’m coming back to Germany and where, and this is why this waiting list is opened now. As soon as I have enough appointments I’ll be back to Das Kabinett in Berlin and dates will be announced.
